Vinegar Hill has been playing the midwest for over 10 years.  We play traditional Irish pub favorites, some blazing jigs & reels, and a scattering of originals, that kinda feel like they've been around for years.  Who are we?  Well let us tell you.

Barb Cunningham: Female Vocalist & Penny Whistle
Player. Dabbles in Harmonica and percussion.
Involved in choral music since Jr. High School. A
member of St. Cecilia Choir, Bell Choir and
Contemporary group. Church song leader and
soloist. Has done many weddings throughout
Columbus. Huge vocal range and variety. Gifted
natural sense of music and rhythm. Mentored by local
legend Patrick Mogan on the Penny Whistle. Music
is her greatest treasure and dearest friend.

Michael Cunningham:  Guitarist & Backup
Vocalist. Wears a cap because he's bald,
dressed in black to divert attention from
his guitar playing. A true faux-renaissance
man: student of many disciplines,
master of none. His love for Celtic music
and all things Irish has inspired him to create
many of our original compositions. Has a
deep love and appreciationof God's
earth and nature, probably imbued by
his Irish/Indian roots 

Elizabeth Blickenstaff:  Fiddler Extraordinaire.
Elizabeth is truly gifted.  She learned through the
Suzuki method 20 yrs. ago & can accomplish
any song in seconds. She has perfect pitch &
wonderful creativity.  She has played in
Chamber Groups, countless weddings and
events. She has recorded on several
occasions and admires the likes of Liz Carroll,
Alasdair Fraser, Oisin MaCauley, and John
McCusker, to name a few. 

Ted Mueller: Guitarist.  Fine musician. Very
critical of his abilities, but generous of
others. Likes to hide on stage, thus the
nick name the invisible man. By-product of
the 60's, devoted to American folk &
protest music from that era. Ted has discovered the
everyman music of Christy Moore and a love of
"roots" Irish folk.
 
Chip Stalter: Lead Male Vocalist & occasional Bodhran Player. 
Love of Irish music comes from his grandfather.  Owns more
instruments than anyone in the band, and can't play any of them.
Met drum-maker Seamus O'Kane, while he was setting
up a gig with Tommy Sands.  Finishes every set with a drop of the
dew!

Steve Cunningham: Bass Player. Has formed and played with many
local Rock and Country bands since 1963. Always sitting in with some
band that needs an exceptional bass player. Has been around
longer than the Beatles and looks like it. No longer new to Irish
music, he's been known to kick up his heels on occasion, sing along
while playing bass, and enjoy a Guiness as well.
